Peace be with you

Well, if you can't abolish it altogether, it's better than nothing.

Or I should say it's better than retaining what is the equivalency of the interuption a Tarkovsky film with a KCTS pledge drive.

I think it's a great idea. It does seem too "everybody hug and forget why we're there" right before we receive communion.

Yes indeed. I know some parishes where I start to feel like a rigid "holy humbug" because of the conviviality. Should one have to feel guilty for concentrating on what's up there at the altar?
