Build back better

Love that phrase. Has a ring to it. Pope Francis used it. It's an opportunity to bring the Gospel to people.

Some people think it's a cryptic Luciferian Freemasonic byword. LOL. You can't say it, like you can't say black lives matter. You really can't win with these nutbars.

With some of these whackjobs you can't get out of bed in the morning without upsetting the order of cosmological symbols. You can't drink a glass of water or receive a vaccine without invoking a pagan deity.

No wonder these guys don't convert anyone (except for those they make twice the children of hell that they themselves are). Their Jesus is so desiccated and fragile and bottled away by their own forceful manipulation that anyone with a nose in front of their face knows they're peddling something, and it ain't Jesus.

Just a reminder

Anyone saying that the Mass has been "suppressed" and the churches have been "closed" is a liar who is calumniating their local bishop and the bishops in general.

The Mass has not been suppressed. The Mass continues to be said everyday at all parishes. The churches have not been closed; they remain open for private prayer. Confessions are available. The bishops remain in close and respectful dialogue with health authorities.

It's interesting, the kind of selfishness in which a person seeks after the imprimatur or approval of their bishop as regards the publication of their locutions, but when it comes to respecting their bishop as regards the factual reality of their bishop's leadership, they just don't give a shit.

The church is for them a candy machine, as they arrogate to themselves the position of prophesying the "shipwreck" of the church, and all other kinds of bullshit doom and gloom.

They are, as Pope Francis says, juvenile.

They are fanatic fundamentalists.

They are incapable of writing words without playing word games.

They have a deep and dense dishonesty problem.

Look for the cardboard cut-outs

In every ideology, every form of fundamentalism, there is always someone, or a group of people, who in a hidden unspoken fashion are turned into sacrificial cardboard cut-outs. I'm not necessarily talking about scapegoats, but people who are cast aside, are rendered and reduced into cardboard, as the result of someone's total ideology/absolutism.

It's not that they positively through words turn them into cardboard cut-outs. The cardboard cut-outs are the equation, so to speak, of their ideology. When encountering sectarian/conspiracy theory/anti-science/reality-denying ideologies, just look for the cardboard cut-outs and think about them.

In the case of false prophets like Mallett, the people who get turned into cardboard cut-outs are nurses, doctors, hospital staff, and caretakers at homes for the elderly.

In the case of false whistle-blowers like Vigano, the people who get turned into cardboard cut-outs are sexual abuse survivors.

In the case of criminal authoritarian cons like Trump, the people who get turned into cardboard cut-outs are the people of colour, women, and everyone who in unprecedented numbers, exercising their democratic right, voted him out of office.

And so on. Just look for those who in these ideological systems have been turned into cardboard cut-outs.

Also, upcoming: as the pandemic gets exponentially worse in the days ahead in the US, which is 100% due to Trump's criminal negligence (and maybe even homicidal intent), look for the false prophets and locutionists who will come out with garbage about how this is happening because of God's displeasure with Biden as president - or some variation thereof.

Look for it, and remember I warned you. It's the mode of operation of Vigano. Take 40 plus years of a scandalous mess, reduce it down (as a means of covering for one's self), and sling it at the man who inherited it. Same thing: the yearlong mess of Trump's criminal negligence which will be 100% inherited by Biden, will be reduced down in the same manner and slung at him.

Also, I don't want to be cranky or come across as pretend tough, but I have precisely zilch sympathy for people moaning about their Thanksgiving/Christmas plans being cancelled. It's barely even a sacrifice, let alone a painful sacrifice.

You want to know what's painful?

Being intubated is painful.

The organs in your body slowly shutting down is painful.

Nurses getting the virus due to serving the sick who denied COVID and in turn dying is painful and a heartbreaking sacrifice.

Watching your relative or friend die on Zoom is painful.

Masters of the Apocalypse and their self-contradicting, hollow, incoherent, homespun, tinpot sectarian nuttery.

Fascistic manipulators of conscience and their shrill unreadable posts consisting of quote salad forced together in the most abusive fashion.

Cerebral and spiritual narcissists channeling the locution writing style that makes up the background noise for a certain number of Catholics (something quite easy for them to assimilate, both style and content) and claiming to receive messages.

No thanks.

The Church is not brittle. God is not remote.

The Church says we are brothers/sisters all, and says it to a world that does not recognize this, and so the Church is being sent, to practice it, to go into the world and love our brothers and sisters.

I stand with the Pope.

I stand with Pope Francis.

FYI

Every expression, whether oral or written, about Covid being a hoax; any speculation ("I'm just asking questions!"), or downplaying, or conspiracy theory, made in this regard, is done on the backs of doctors, nurses, and all health care workers and hospital staff.

Anyone saying, in so many words, "Where is this so-called virus?" is saying it as a privileged ignoramus standing on the welfare provided by hundreds and thousands of medical experts who have been taking action to break the waves and insure that ignoramuses are able to stand on their feet and breathe and talk (the feet and lungs of the US "president" included).

There is a concrete reality with real human beings at the receiving end of your indulgent abstractions. It just so happens that the image of overwhelmed hospitals with morgue trucks parked outside of them, and health workers who serve the sick getting heavy viral loads and dying, is the one image these people conveniently leave out of their paranoid and adolescent conjectures. (They'll use the image of course when they want to condemn the world they hate and are afraid of as an abstract "the darkness that exists outside the Church" sort of crap.)

From their high-minded religiose bullshit about masks covering the Imago Dei, and how the church has "failed the test of the coronavirus" [so be a man then and publicly say you support Vigano and think Francis a failure you fake prophets], to their juvenile crap about contact tracing being the sinister state imposing on the church - just remember, in all of these things that they say and write, the nurses and doctors (perhaps you know a few) who are in hospitals overrun with Covid because safety measures weren't taken in a particular region because that region's negligent political leader decided to prioritize mammon.

These are the same people who are oh so absolutely sure to remark in their criticisms of their culture war enemies that, "Your ideas and speculations have real consequences, and it's the death of millions of people!"

But turn that back on them? Watch those same absolutists turn into the world's biggest relativists. And watch them do it in the name of absolutes.

Whenever you read or hear their conspiricist bullshit, simply recall to yourself the concrete reality of overrun hospitals and the staff serving the sick getting viral loads.

Though, by fall and winter, that may not be so necessary. For it may be in our faces everywhere. Their speculations and conspiricism will have done their work, having used the grounds gained against the virus to spread the virus (because enjoying the safety and benefit of the preventative actions of medical experts is the perfect time to blabber about it all being a hoax), and people will be getting diarrhea just from reading the headlines. And then it will be time for the full surfacing of the Scapegoat.

May it not be so, God help us.

I've always preferred The Day of the Jackal to A Man For All Seasons. The latter got fair play at home when growing up, as it does in a lot of Catholic households, and watching it the first time I was like, "Man, this guy is impeccable, unimpeachable! He's a tight, tight, well-oiled morality-in-action machine! He's fantastic! Super, super spotless!" while the dim shadow running alongside was like, "Huh, imagine that."

Every once in a while the scene comes to mind - from the atheist playwright's own words the film was based upon - you know the one with the "hard-hitting" super-truth monologue from Thomas to his Neo-Marxist future son-in-law - and it's like "Something, something something, and where would you stand then in the winds that would blow!!!" and I'm all like "Yeah, Yeah! That's it! You tell it to Meathead, Archie!"

But the Day of the Jackal is just more of a film. Not a morality play managing the medium of film using a historic figure canonized by the Catholic Church as a puppet for rather cut-and-dry depictions of conscience. That's the way plays work, or mediocre plays I suppose. I'm only going by the film, since I haven't watched the play; but it's kind of like, well, it's not much interesting to watch a diamond being formed under pressure, when it's already a diamond to begin with. Yawn. I'm pretty sure the film adaptation of A Man For All Seasons - the attempt to copy that play's impeccable fictional representation - is responsible for a good deal of the self-absorbed promethean neo-pelagianism one encounters today in rigorist Catholics.

“We still have to follow the rules,” Francis said. “Thank God, we are leaving the worst part, but always by obeying the rules that the authorities have stipulated.” --Pope Francis, June 7, 2020

If you listen to what Pope Francis is saying and doing, you will not go astray.

Thank God we have the Pope we have, and that the majority of Bishops around the world - weighing very heavily the situation and courses of action - are exercising due care for their flocks by continuing to implement the proper safety measures so as to not cause a second outbreak.

Thank God the majority of our Bishops are not sectarian reactionary anti-science conspiricists. Can you imagine the deadly damage it would cause if they were running their dioceses according to the manner of irresponsible internet personalities who have no care for a local diocese and have no authoritative standing in the Church?

These freewheeling wandering internet personalities have no connection to any locale; they network and echo each other as a global cabal. Their consummist, hyper-fundamentalist ideology becomes virulent through a kind of cultic e-cabal.

Yet lockdown/quarantine/safety measures around the world have been implemented quite differently from country to country, province to province, town to town: what we have seen with COVID-19 is a kind of resurrection of localism in the fight against the virus, neighbour discovering neighbour (ironically in a time of so-called "isolation") while the conspiricists deal globally, and have made demands and arguments in favour of the global financialized market they have been so afraid for losing.

The actual spread of the virus was not due to globalism, but simply to air travel. And air travel is a multi-billion dollar capitalist enterprise. But the resistance to safety measures against the virus has been entirely globalist.

The local scientists were telling us the proper measures to take for the sake of our fellow men and women according to the situation of their local region, while the conspiricists were giving the bullhorn to the global financial economy as their top priority.

The conspiricists like Vigano et alia are really globalists. They are a kind of global cabal disconnected from any local diocese, and they have infiltrated the Church, and like Donald Trump, they carry a deadly moral virus.

Ah yes, the "I'm-so-not-racist-that-I-don't-see-any-race" racist assholes

Saying that a race is being targeted is racist!

Understanding it in a larger context of historic racism is political correctness!

LOL Gotta love these absolutist pricks. Systemic racism? But I'm über non-racist pure! None of that taints me! Just hire people according to education and real credentials!

Education and real credentials are biased and made exclusive by systemic racism? Hey now, enough with that social teaching talk, I'm talking absolutes here! It's just skin colour and that's just the accidents of genes!

Skin colour is in fact not just skin colour but betokens a whole dignity of historical oppression that I need to look at? But that's racist! I'm über non-racist pure!

George Floyd? Hell, the Rwandans were hacking each other apart with machetes in the thousands! That was black on black! I have a full litany of 20th century genocides to beat you over the head with instead of looking at American history! Because absolutes!

So yeah, anyways, Modern Catholic white privilege is basically exemplified by the high falutin culture war reactionaries to the Amazonian Synod.

Everything these pontificating dipsticks published and panicked about was, in very short order, completely exposed by COVID-19 as a vomitorium of hypocrisy.

The exposure continues, apparently.
