I have to confess, I am not one normally drawn to a lot of what goes as landscape painting. However, I like this. Much of your work - that we've seen - has that quiet pastoral feel; at least I think so.

The comp in this one is very good. The eye is drawn from here to there but at a gentle pace and overall is not distracted. I think this is particularly so because of those wonderful shadow slashes. Love the one entering from our right and ending "at" the center-most animal (which is happily, just off center.

The two, one, one pattern of the animals is pleasing and the dead tree rising in the background from roughly where the most distant animal grazes, moves the eye up into the distance nicely while the large tree's arc sweep the eye back left and down to the two nearest beasts where we find the other shadow slash moving us peacefully toward the center again.

Lovely.
