The "eyes" on the parsnip (?) look a little too precise . . . like the buttons on a double-breasted suit. But let me guess: it looks exactly like that? =)
No, it doesn't look exactly like that. I lined them up a bit. And the same thought occurred to me when I was doing it..."this is going to look too precise. Oh well."
Anyways, I already failed in depicting that it was a yam.
Without their colours, there isn't much to distinguish yams from parsnips, once the latter's greens have been lopped off, so it's little enough to worry of.

In the sketch's defense, I don't think I could identify a yam if you plunked one right in front of me! =)
