my thing is LaTeX --- over at my blog, I might write that \LATEX and on the post page it'd show up the way you want.
WordPress apparently makes TeXing easy, but it seems to prefer making images to letting the browser handle the typesetting. In Blogger, I've had to hijack sites.google and tweak some javascript --- and I'm only optimistic that anything looks right in Firefox, just now; but that has more to do with UTF-8 and the private use area than anything else...
Bat, you remind me of the issue I have with my header. When I first installed it, I couldn't see the little mouse in the corner! The Web designer said it had something to do with my monitor being too small, because she could see the whole thing. So she advised me to make my sidebar narrower--which I did, and which helped. But now I wonder whether other people with better monitors visit and think, "Why her sidebar so skinny when it doesn't need to be?"
And yes, I use Firefox because it makes everything look better, but then I have no idea about the view people with other browsers get!
(Yeah, let's just hijack Paul's thread, why don't we . . .)

Hey, a comment!

Blogger was acting up last Tuesday. Everything should be all right now . . . until next time, of course . . .
Yeah, after I posted this I went to some other blogs and, sure enough, the same thing. It's comforting when it isn't only you.

On the other hand, those elitist Wordpress users had a reason to point and laugh for a whole day . . .
LOL
They'll get theirs, one day.
