You put thoughts into words in a very clear and wonderful way! I was thinking about the "intelligence" that is actually more like pride... not that I do not value good and deep thinking but I think sometimes valuing your brain too much can give you a "criticism pass" that replaces true humility and takes away your trust in the authority God chose... It all reminds me a bit of the story of Miriam and Aaron opposing Moses and how strong was God's action against it and how Moses' meekness was highlighted then!
