Paul, in my opinion, this is the best bit of drawing I've seen you post here. How many hours? Ma'am is right yet I'm still outwardly craving for some depth to your shadows. I know they have to be much darker than you give them credit for.
Enbrethiliel, :) I hope I've done my job then! I've been putting my desktop lamp to use. It makes for much more concise subjects.
Christopher, I know exactly what you mean about the shadows. The same thing was nagging me (and still nags me when I look at it); I'm sometimes conflicted between deepening a shadow and showing the varying tones within a shadow.
I would say I spent around five to six hours on it - not all in one sitting. I'm not exactly sure though, for as you know how time often goes out the window when working at something.
