I'd love to get the hand pounded gold they use as offerings to Buddha in the East. Can't recall where at the moment. Perhaps Thailand. It seems to be much more yellow.
I read up on that a bit after reading your comment. They say one statue has around 6 inches built up of gold leaf - wow. What an interesting tradition. That would be fantastic to get some of that gold leaf to use in icons.
