Thought you might like this one Terry. Thanks. She's getting over an eye infection right now. Her sister - the grey cat - was eaten by coyotes earlier this year. We got another cat to keep her company.

If you were trying to say "CAT" with this one, I think you got it. Excellent drawing, sir.

Thank you Christopher. :) It's something that's been occurring to me of late - that if the drawing achieves a kinship with the subject, and the drawing attains a "life of its own" through the subject, then I need not fret if it is "scribbly" or not what I was originally envisioning.

Well, what drawing/painting is ever what the artist was originally envisioning. If it was then it would be a failure.

I think the artist is to not just achieve what he was originally envisioning but to make that conception better. The art is the growth of the child that has already eben conceived. Why am I rambling like this?

This comment is late because the first time I saw this, I was very anti-cat. Since then, I've been completely accepted and loved (some might say sniffed at and stalked) by a good friend's two Persian kittens, so I've come around somewhat. I think this is a good drawing. =)

Here's a video your own sleepy cat might appreciate: Sleepy Cats Song

Not just Persian cats, but Persian kittens...oh they'll convert anyone. Are they actually in your house right now?

Thanks for the video. I like that song!

No, they're in her house, which was where we had all our interactions. I should tell you the full story some time. It took a long time to unfold and it's hysterical.
