I remember an image from the movie of Kong's giant heart beating within some kind of contraption, but that was when I was a kid. I'm pretty sure I haven't seen the movie. I should check it out. Maybe youtube has it in full.
Yes, sometimes it's easier to anthropomorphize a gorilla than a foreigner (or anyone who looks like a foreigner). And, no, it doesn't cost any more money than theatre admission... Gorillas, afterall, normally cannot voice opinions that contradict your own, especially about your assumptions on gorillas.
