Spike is Best

Zabriskie's Stunt Island is a kind of masterpiece. I've been a fan of his music for several years now. And I frequently come back to this one. Stunt Island has the still, resonating, meditative quality of ambience but with development, a going somewhere, that is distinctive enough to be divided into separate tracks, yet all of it sustained as one, reaching a climax. Sustained is the operative word here. FYI his music is creative commons. You have probably heard his music in any number of documentaries and video games.
