There's an olive tree that got burnt near me. Unnaturally. I've been really disturb whenever I see it. I know this ain't an olive but it feels to me like a memento mori and I'm less sad for some reason.
I didn't see the image that way, but I see what you're saying (and now I see it too). I wonder if our experiences don't just colour or form our perceptions, but actually make perception possible.
