Whiskey and Winter Pears

This is what I've been working on the past few days. The majority of the work was done through one Friday night and into the wee hours of Saturday morning. The pears are getting on their way out. The bottle, glass and cloth are basically what I'm working on now.

I love it. I really like the colors.

Nice work.

Thanks! I hope to have it finished shortly, and up here.

What medium are you using?

Father, this one is oil on linen canvas. For the medium I am simply using a half and half mix of linseed oil and odorless mineral spirits, with a very small amount of alkyd (Galkyd).

Sweet!

There's a real point of view to it, and I really like the character of the drawing.

Thank you for the encouraging words. I think I almost have it "trimmed" now, one of the hardest things for me; the for-real finishing of it.
